Kirsten Cannon Claim

Kirsten is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee and is nationally board-certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She attended the University of Memphis, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in English and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kirsten takes an individualized, integrative, holistic approach to counseling. She has been trained in numerous modalities and interventions, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment Theory. Whatever interventions are chosen, she is always utilizing trauma-informed practices and working from a culturally competent, body positive, and sex positive perspective with compassion and a sense of humor. Kirsten personally understands the vulnerability and courage it takes to go to counseling and face your struggles, and she considers it an honor to walk your therapy journey with you.
